Helping leaders of state and community systems achieve...

Greater capacity.  Coordinated strategies.  Sustained results!

"I wanted to send a short note of appreciation to you for the training you provided to our coalition, for the Texas SIG grant. As a direct result of that training, we received grant funding for capacity building of $75,000 each year for three years. This funding has allowed us to accomplish all of our start-up goals. We have hired a full-time coordinator who is officed here in Marfa with office space provided by the City; we have over 40 members of the Coalition within our five rural counties; we have monthly meetings here in Marfa, with an average attendance of 15 - 20; we have helped to facilitate the formation of youth clubs in three of our communities; and we have commitments from 11 of the 12 school districts within our five rural counties to participate in the Texas School Survey (most of them for the first time, ever). In short, we would not be where we are without a lot of support and assistance from people like you."

Curtis Schrader
Former Marfa City Administrator, and Past President of the Far West Texas Rural Coalition

Our Point of View

We live in a fast moving, constantly changing world. In fact, the only thing that we can be certain of is that change happens!  It is not about how, when, why or where the change first began or what can be done to prevent the change – it is about harnessing the transforming power of ever present change. The dilemma is to be either constantly tossed by the unpredictable sea of change or to chart a course and navigate with the winds of change riding the waves and harnessing its power so that we arrive not just safely, but in a consistently healthier place.  How can we ensure that we have the ability to navigate change in our personal and professional lives?
